Teeth (repost)

It’s often said that sugar is the biggest enemy of enamel. & teeth in general. Question is what second to sugar? Which type of sugar?

In reflecting on how much better my mouth and whole body feel when I’m eating just fruits & vegetables. I remember that how important flossing is and why. These foods & there combinations lead to acid, which leads to crystallization = cavity. The difference is in the body there a way to remove it.

These isolate mineral/ substance make chemicals which your body does not process et al. ‘High fructose corn syrup’ ‘powdered sugar’ ‘salt you add to food.’ For your teeth this means plaque then tooth damage then gum damage.

Foods that contain oils will almost always lead to more plaque which is the reason strict carnivores and frugivores have the whitest teeth. Comes down to discipline.


When you eat bread, cake, pizza, biscuits, pastries, and oily sauces contain oil that comes from a pit/seed/ nut. This oil by definition of oil, cannot and will not mix with water. That which is the primary ingredient that of saliva, 99% water. Result oil in your mouth. These images may or may load on your screen with bandwidth; I'll paint a picture for those of you who don't see it: what happens when hot greese cools off? what happens when you pour hot water in gel or hardened oil?

The two oppose each other and being that oil is not soluble it cakes up in your mouth the same way. My conclusion is that cake up in your mouth, what dentists call "plaque" is more oil than sugar. One you may have already come to or been taught. I will just take it further to eliminate confusion from the narrative 'propagated' or just misunderstood by many sugar is a real issue just a top layer one. The tip of the iceberg!
